The pitch IMO is fine especially with three teams playing on it you wont get any better than that

Only Newport RFC on it this weekend but we've got 5 home games in March and not sure if Dragons or RFC playing home during March as that pitch will be severely tested
Nothing wrong with the pitch at the moment and if it gets to the day in March where the sun comes out and the ground bakes, and it's in a decent state it'll be no problem for the rest of the season no matter what happens on it. After that it's all about watering it rather than hoping it holds together.

The pitch looks in a poor state after the WRU held 7's rugby on it today.
Yes I know it's their pitch but Rodders doesn't need anymore games on it than the 3 teams that play on it already

7s rugby shouldn't do anything to it, it's practically all just sprinting up and down without the scrums which do much of the damage. Having said that, what's the weather been doing? It's just "chilly" down here.

It has done damage. The pitch looks bad. Groundstaff have their work cut out. Newport play Pontypridd on Saturday too.
"Intense training games" for the Welsh & Irish 7's teams according to the WRU.

They've got a week after Saturday and that should be plenty of time to sort it.
