Great idea but wish they'd get someone who can spell to do the media releases.

Price of tickets will vary dependent on age, area of the ground, individual needs etc. Plenty with season tickets who will get better use of a club shop voucher too

Second prize - a voucher in the shop = a cost to the club in some capacity

Third prize - 2 x " complimentary " tickets = no cost

I suppose it depends which way you look at it

Not strictly true, the club will lose the £36 That would've been spent on purchasing the 2 tickets.

Only if the winner of the complimentary tickets would have attended the match in question. If they are won by an irregular attendee then it could be added income from food or beer sales. I suspect that the changes will see an increase in ticket sales, which could mitigate any perceived loss from giving away 2 tickets that may or may not have been bought instead...

I swear the guy I buy mine off every game just chucks my ticket in the river. Never won once in all the years I've done it.

Will cost the shop £575 over the season (League games only) - Not a criticism, just pointing out the cost which will hopefully be recovered by getting an extra 600 sold over the season.

Steady on. Don't forget that selling 400 more season tickets than last season is a bad thing and will cost the club money. For a team finishing 90th in the FL over past past 2 seasons too.

Not a criticism but I wish it was available online prior to the day of sale and I would set up to do it for every week/game.

Was a great first day. Sold 200 tickets more than our best total from last season. I think we will make 10-15k this season if we carry on as we've started
