Ideally the Celtic manor try and take on the bale of Glamorgan hotel and build their own training facilities then ourselves and the rugby teams can arrange to go there to train. Like the dragons did I still think we should look to get a representative of the Celtic manor on our football board.

Tbf land's a bit cheaper in Newport to begin with. And Staplewood did cost £25m more than the estimated cost. But yeah, try and get something that the community can use and make sure it's suitable for County too. An integrated thing with a pathway to the first team would be nice, but baby steps and all that.

Has everyone forgotten Dragon Park cant we do a deal there build another dedicated to us pitch use their facilities etc etc . I mean the FAW should bend over backwards to help us as we are raising the profile of Football in Wales and we are one of only 3 league teams.

Agree with that, wasn’t there a plan once for FAW to upgrade a facility ( was it Spytty Park itself ? ) to act as stadium for womens and youth, under 21 internationals?

This happened to a team I played for when Dave Bassett was manager at sufc. They used our third pitch to train on twice a week and paid for it to be relaid, they also sent coaching staff to our training sessions and Dave Bassett got involved in things like our presentation night. It all worked out very well for everybody while it lasted.
