Saved them both the embarrassment of the lino calling him over having stopped play to then go back and restart with a drop ball. Without the conversation being overheard, it looked like the lino had made a good spot and they made it looked like they had made a good decision.

One of the things I found most frustrating about officiating when I used to do it was that as you got promoted and were involved in more senior games, the officials team were more interested in selling a bad decision than getting the right decision.
