It's going to be -1 C during the match.
TBWAH how much are hot drinks at Wembley mate?
Re: Freezing at Wembley
2I went there earlier in the season, don't remember a pre-match coffee being too extortionate...
You definitely want to eat before you get there though...

Re: Freezing at Wembley
3I’m sure there was only a few pennies change from £20 if you ordered fish & chips with a pint when there for the playoff final.
Re: Freezing at Wembley
4maybe TBWAH can confirm, but I heard prices were extortionate for Spurs games, which is one of the gripes the Spurs' fans have about being there......not sure how TRUE that is mind.
TBWAH, if you're reading this, can you give us an idea of refreshment / bar prices inside the ground please.

Re: Freezing at Wembley
5I will never understand what possesses people to pay silly prices for food and drink at football matches. Just take a thermos flask and a banana as usual, mun.
Re: Freezing at Wembley
6In any case, I will be having a few pints and some grub round the corner from my office then hopping on the jubilee line to the ground, happy days!
Re: Freezing at Wembley
7There was a chippy just off the ground that was reasonable prices.Inside Wembley is another thing price wise obviously.
Re: Freezing at Wembley
8Last time I went, the burger vans along Olympic Way were like £8 for a cheeseburger.

Cant remember off-hand but prices are 'fairly' reasonable. Hot food £6 or less. Hot drinks probably in the region of £2.50.
Re: Freezing at Wembley
10As i said above, hot food is generally £6 or less. Pies (which are actually half decent) are £4.30. Some tills ONLY take cards so be aware.newgroundrodney wrote:maybe TBWAH can confirm, but I heard prices were extortionate for Spurs games, which is one of the gripes the Spurs' fans have about being there......not sure how TRUE that is mind.

Alcohol is £4 or £5 & hot drinks around £2.50 - but that is all from memory. Don't shoot the messenger.

Re: Freezing at Wembley
12The Chicken strips & chips are quite good.
Fish & chips ok but fish is on the small side.
Pies are good.
Pizza slices look large (£4ish i believe) - never had one though.
Hot dogs are good.
Lager is Carlsberg. Cider is Sommersby.
Also have (ashamed to say) popcorn....water...coffee....coke etc

14Reading this thread, you'd think our fans hadn't eaten for months. I'm sure there are plenty of nice, civilised eateries close enough to the ground for a pre-match meal. Why anyone would spend the best part of a tenner to consume a limp hot dog and a lukewarn pint of Carling whilst standing up in a concrete concourse, I will never know.
