Just to add that it was Nouble drifting behind the back 4 (as noted by me at the first game) who played Llorente on for the sitter header he missed. Just glad he's not asked to track Premier League overlapping full backs every match.

Let's be frank for most of the season bar a handful of games he has been poor. So predictable and easy to pick up and mark when he plays down the flanks, should be a target man not a winger. His goal return is low and it makes it more baffling why Bird on song in The Conference was not kept on for his goal return he is flying.
M. Jackson as well won't say no more but lucky to be on the pay roll.
Hayes must be thinking what does he have to do to get in the starting line up when Frank's performances have been sometimes woeful sends out the wrong signals to the squad.
Today Newport's Doidge will be on show and scoring about 14 goals thus far for a relegation threatened side sort of speaks volumes.

The thing is Hayes is not a direct replacement for Frank. I can't see Hayes taking on the full back and covering Dan as a left sided forward. He'll need to go up top down the middle. So then we'll have to put Podge on the left in the current formation or change the formation and if we do this I'd like to see Frank and Podge given the chance up top first in a 442 formation.

All about opinions Somerton.
Bird has gone quiet for Dover after a good start.
Marlon has been injured all season so unfair to bring him into the thread.
Williams is flying at Brackley but would he do the same 2 leagues up.
Hayes is totally different player to Frank.
Think its not down to Frank but Flynny needs to put him and Padraig down the centre.
Padraig on his own despite all his efforts is a forlorn figure due to no pace.
Frank with him down the middle and we have Chesterfield every week
Virtually everyone on here can see it why cannot our team of 3 running the set up see it also?
PUT FRANK DOWN THE MIDDLE
Maybe Flynny reads the forum on a wet Saturday morning.

Agree all about opinions and respecting everyone's views
Glad to see that.
Did not look at Trophy results last weekend.
Again that is our standard playing Orient so well done
Cheers

I'd rather have Bird than the cheerleader Jackson...FFS we have seen what Jackson can do and IMO it aint League football standard.
I'm not suggesting Bird was the answer but he was miles better than Jackson...Why MF kept the latter is anyone's guess. IMO , its not based on ability

Percy plunkett wrote:Why is Frank covering Dan? Surely a midfielder should do that not a big tall slow thinking forward. Most of us also keep asking, why is he out wide and not down the middle.
Because Amond is actually an aerial threat and should be in the middle of 3, and if there are overlapping full-backs they're for the wide attackers to cover, not the midfielders who already have players to mark.
