Now the cup run is over, the transfer window has closed, and we know we've only got one midweek match and a couple of Easter fixtures interrupting a run of Saturday after Saturday match to the end of the season, where do you think we'll finish in League Two?
Champions?
Automatic Promotion?
Comfortably in Play-offs?
Late run into Play-offs?
Just miss out on Play-offs?
Mid-table?
Bottom half?
Relegation?
Interested to see people's opinions with 9 homes and 6 aways left and most of the top sides still to come at home.
Personally I'm predicting a late run into the Play-offs - we've got a decent squad with the opportunity to play the first team hopefully without injuries hugely damaging our chances, and we fight til the end and all that. Injury and suspension will probably be the key determinant though, I don't fancy us as much if Labadie or Demetriou, or especially not Day, are out for any amount of time.
Re: So where will we finish in Lge 2?
2Mid table because MF will stick to playing Wimott and Nouble when they are fit even though its so obvious it isn't working. Wilmott has had three or four decent games this season but how many stinkers has he had before and since his 'purple patch' , yet he seems to be a first name on the team sheet ?
Nouble has been poor for weeks , in fact he seems to be getting worse because his body language makes him look like he is trying even less.
MF needs to change his stance , then maybe thee play offs are possible....
I would go for
Day
Pipe. O'Brien. White. Demetriou. Butler
Bennett. Tozer
Sheehan. Labadie
Amond

Re: So where will we finish in Lge 2?
3We really need to go for Play offs minimum to keep the interest in the town and surrounding areas and I think we could be there are abouts
Re: So where will we finish in Lge 2?
412th I reckon - as highlighted above, Amond is too isolated and Nouble can't be bothered some games.
Re: So where will we finish in Lge 2?
5After the excitement of the Spurs game we can fully concentrate on the league, hopefully it will give the players a new self belief in their abilities and push forward to a play-off position.
p.s Keep Wilmott in the team.

Robbie stop posting under someone else's name
Have you seen his last three performances ???????? Saying he has been bad would be giving him a compliment.....He had three or four half decent games , got himself in as a first choice , now he has reverted back to his early season form....
Why MF uses him as a wingback when he takes Pipe off is comical as he won't tackle , can't stop the opposition getting crosses in and has very little defensive qualities
Re: So where will we finish in Lge 2?
7I think we'll finish anywhere between 10th - 15th. Still a lot better than last season though. We've been punching above our weight so far..
Re: So where will we finish in Lge 2?
8Totally agree, unless Sheehan starts to fire and another loan signing?
Re: So where will we finish in Lge 2?
9Something like 12th, on something like 66 pts.
I don't tend to worry about who still needs to play whom, which teams are in the top half when we play them etc., because over the season it balances out.

10We can't sign anyone else on loan outside of the transfer windowamberdave wrote:Totally agree, unless Sheehan starts to fire and another loan signing?
We can only sign players who were free agents in the transfer window
Re: So where will we finish in Lge 2?
11We have averaged a little over one and a half points per game so far. If it continues like that we’ll reach 71 points. No idea where that will leave us in the table.
Re: So where will we finish in Lge 2?
12Would love to see us in the play offs come the end of the season but I think we will finish around 12th place
Re: So where will we finish in Lge 2?
13Unless we look to put a hatful past the opposition for 90 mins Mid table
Re: So where will we finish in Lge 2?
14Currently, 71 points would see us finish in 10th place.papajohn wrote:We have averaged a little over one and a half points per game so far. If it continues like that we’ll reach 71 points. No idea where that will leave us in the table.

15I think you're onto something with that. We've done great to get to where we are, but I'd like to see us "go for it" a little more when we have our noses in front - especially at home.mad norm wrote:Unless we look to put a hatful past the opposition for 90 mins Mid table
