It was as bad as it looked. Shame for Scot, he'd had some very good games in midfield recently
"Exiles boss Michael Flynn reveals that Scot Bennett will be out for between 4 and 8 weeks with a hamstring injury"
Re: Bennett's Injury
2Yeah did look bad ... took an age to get back to the dug outs.
I like Bennet with his virsatility, but was having a mare Tuesday?

Re: Bennett's Injury
4That’s a huge blow. Although he lacks pace he reads a game brilliantly, we’ll miss him.
Re: Bennett's Injury
5generally if you lack pace and cant read a game ur not a footballer anyway. The better players have both PACE AND VISION the lower journeymen normally one or the other .Mark Byrne was an exception although he lacked height theres always something lacking at this level. However Byrney even though he lacked height still could outjump many a six footer we have now
Re: Bennett's Injury
6to be fair, in order to be out jumped, some of our six footers would first need to jump
Re: Bennett's Injury
8Will be interesting to see if we improve in his absence, an opportunity for someone (probably O'Brien).
Re: Bennett's Injury
9The thing is, having O'Brien come into the team to replace him certainly doesn't weaken it, if anything it makes us stronger.
Re: Bennett's Injury
10That's certainly my opinion too, but as I'm not one of those player witch-hunty types, I framed it as a question...Exile 1976 wrote:The thing is, having O'Brien come into the team to replace him certainly doesn't weaken it, if anything it makes us stronger.

Yes but O'Brien will only come in to replace him if we play a back 3 otherwise it will likely be Tozer

More than likely , but if two cb's then I'd rather see O'Brien put at the back and White playing in Bennett's role. It wont happen but I think White would be excellent there.
Re: Bennett's Injury
13Back to a 3/5 at the back today, seemed to fit us well before so we'll see how much Notts have come on.
