It just might be the first step on a long path which has implications for us. If there proves to be no public interest in the valleys, the core reason for calling the Dragons anything but plain Newport goes out the window.

And if that happens, there's no need for the continued existence of a separate NRFC and the pitch only needs sharing by two teams, one from each sport.

But why didn't they organise something similar on a weekend where all 3 teams were down to play at RP on 3 consecutive days ???
Perhaps then , the Forest Green game may not have been postponed ??
No one is playing there this weekend so this is a waste of a fixture change imho .
Just saying like ....

You're wrong there mate, Newport RFC play Pontypridd on Saturday at Rodders

It's definitely worse after yesterday's 7's practice games and grass isn't growing back by next week and if it rains before/during the RFC game this Saturday the pitch will be even worse. Let's hope with a week to work on it that the ground staff can at least get rid of the lumps and bumps

TFFT  another one with a bit of common sense

Apparently the Rugby knicked the grass completely from the Hazel terrace side as well

Whilst its nowhere near as bad as last season, the pitch is not in very good shape, the manager has commented on it, commentators have spoken about it and we can all see it, to think otherwise is crackers Imo.

With three teams playing on it you won't get a better surface than that

Only one more game at RP this season for the Dragons (23rd March) - their other two 'home' games are being played in Ebbw Vale and The Principality Stadium.

5 Newport RFC home fixtures remain.

There is a real need for 'someone' to be a 'conduit' for the three teams at RP - Mr Buttress (Dragons' Chairman) has indicated that he would like to see a more joint approach - definitely a must.
