5Very sad. Remember him playing at Somerton Park in the 60s, including one match in goal when Len Weare was injured before the game.

7Totally gutted. I played my first senior games of cricket when Alan was captain at Newport - I was about 11!! He was looking after the up and coming kids! What a man - Newport through and through.
Thoughts are with the Wood family. Newport has lost one of it's favourite sons!

14Met Allen a few times and, as previously mentioned, a lovely man with some great stories about his time playing for the Club. Well done Steve for putting up this video.
