The local press report that Vale are about to announce the signing of a striker from a league club , for whom they will be paying a fee.JonD wrote:But Amond is under contract to us. And Vale have spent nothing on transfer fees in ages, actually reduced their wage bill in January, escaping relegation by a single point, their owner is looking at possibly ( but probably not) buying a non-league club...he really is an embarrassing clown.
But yeah, never say never, I suppose.

Re: Frank off to Colchester?
95Budget same as last season plus no players we are paying for that were not in mf plans / jazzi / jacksn / turley most of his wages, so probably better off . Mf bsck from holidays now so lets wait and see what santa brings us ?
Re: Frank off to Colchester?
96Considering how much we paid for amond and how much we have paid him I would be stunned if port vale bid anywhere near the figure needed for us to break even on it.
Re: Frank off to Colchester?
97If he goes as well, we have to find 38 goals and numerous assists from somewhere to replace Noooubs, Amond, Hayes & McCoulsky.
