Yes, we have issued an invoice to Interbet. Yes, it has been paid.
I checked with the management of Chepstow Racecourse prior to the sponsorship being announced as they have worked with the owner of Interbet over a number of years as a race meeting sponsor at Chepstow and other courses. The information I received was that all sponsorships have always been paid promptly.
How a sponsor operates their business is a matter for them.
Hope that helps.

Phew! Another rumour dispelled!
Quite, and people wonder why directors resign.

it's not a rumour dispelled, it's a genuine concern addressed in a proper manner. There is a big difference.

It was a rumour that we hadn't been paid. That has been put to bed. As Kevin said, "How a sponsor operates their business is a matter for them."

What is the genuine concern now that we know we have been paid?

Remind me how many days it took for someone in the know to tell us, instead of letting it get to this point?
Talk about making a job difficult
This is an unofficial notice board, as are any accounts on Facebook or Twitter, where all these rumours seem to start. Did anyone actually ask the club officially? Why should they respond to any points raised on here and other social media sites and set a precedence for others to put even more outlandish claims out there and then state that it must be true as the club hasn't confirmed/denied them?

Exile 1976 seemed to be in the know a fortnight ago, categorically stating:
We've been paid by the sponsors so don't worry about it

Exactly. It's probably the same people that criticise the club for not being proffesional want them to dispel every rumour via unofficial media channels. Perhaps they could now make a statement on who has paid for their boxes or season tickets so far.

Nothing has been dispelled other than Mr Kevin Ward saying “ we have issued AN invoice to interbet and it has been paid”

Cute and careful wording from Kevin.

He has also now publicly stated that we don’t care how sponsors operate their businesses. Bring on the sweat shop payday loaning blood diamond selling environmental terrorists out there who no other club will touch!

Absolutely alarmingly ridiculous statement for a club boss to make !

Hi

I genuinely don’t spend much time reading this messageboard, however I’ll always provide information if and when I can. There are plenty of other ways of getting hold of me. My number is on my website www.kevinwardmedia.com

What I won’t do is get into daft rows with fellow supporters.

Let’s get three points at Mansfield on Saturday.

Cheers

Kev Ward

Because of logical, legitimate questions from loyal fans of the club, yeah that's the reason.

Anyway - where were you guys with all this forensic evidence before any decision was made (let me guess you didn't know that you were needed... because you have nothing to do whatsoever with running our football club) - so now you do (know you are needed) then you guys really do need to get on the Board so the club can benefit from your skillsets - bet you are submitting your applications this very minute. Ps I promise not to have a go at any of you in whatever decisions you make because I always respect that people on the inside the club are 'doers' and not moaners coaching from the sidelines.
What an attitude to have. Cos y'know what, most of the biggest companies deal with customers' concerns, complaints and feedback in order to keep the person's future custom. It's called customer service. What they do NOT do, is tell people to join the BoD if they think they can do better, or ask them whether they've ever worked for the company or held a seat on the board, or stood for election to the board in the past.
In 2018, are there seriously still people with such a pathetic approach to dealing with customer engagement, feedback & complaints?
So the only ones allowed an opinion are those who are prepared to somehow DO something, above and beyond being a customer?.... dear god alive!
You do like a moan and there are a few others on this forum as well (I could say you are in good company but somehow that expression just doesn't feel right, as you seem to feed off one another and get yourselves in a right old state - but I guess some feel it's ok to engage in deflamation of character statements.

Several on this thread should be embarrassed as hell.

Yes do something positive like joining the Board because guess what? you can - joining other private and public company boards might be a little more difficult.

Bloody weird way to run a business though, if you are handing over large amounts of money without a 'shop front' to sell yourself to the very people you are hoping to attract on the back of it.
Might just get in touch and ask if he wants to sponsor my business!

Your research prompted this clarification, so good work.

Better late than never from the directors I suppose.

Just newport wrote:ALARMING NEWS !!!

Question: Has the club completed a lateral check on the sponsors and business partners before agreeing a contract to ensure that we know we will get paid? Especially when this is a "new business"

I doubt this person has the collateral to pay us in full and the board should be working immediately to make checks so if required they can secure a new sponsor.

I just hope to god the club have not agreed for someone like this to have any shares as part of or in return for the sponsorship arrangement as any companies dissolved will have all their property, cash and any other assets automatically pass to the Crown.
Not remotely alarming, many betting companies are short term, offering free bets to get new punters in and then only keeping the models which are successful and merging or relaunching under a different name. This is already known, and if anything the dissolution of companies shows the guy knows what he's doing. If there was a string of liquidations with debts owed, that might be concerning. It isn't.
