My only real point is that makes me smile (on other posts), when people get all huffy and puffy about what FGR are doing, we would love a similar scenario at RP, I know I would.

We had a similar scenario when in the conference, and imo we would have struggled to get out of it, if it wasn’t for LS money.

Of course there is a comparison. Both clubs had/have an advantage over other clubs in their league because rich owners made/make financial contributions.

More like it county. Arguably our most needed position of need. Good age and league two experience. Should slot straight in.

I know there's apparently rumours about McCoulsky, but if not him I wouldn't mind us taking Jonny Smith on loan from Bristol City. Did well at Fylde last year, but I think there might be a couple of clubs in the league above looking.

Where as I think the crofts signing is terrible and there’s question marks for me signing Matt who’s obviously in the slide, what I do respect is the gaffer is buying players in positions that if we were sat in a pub we would list these positions as needs.

I suppose with the Crofts signing it comes down to whether his legs are gone or not. Only time will tell.

Matt's statistics do suggest a slide recently but whenever I've seen him play against us he's been a handful. Plus Grimsby fans have said that although he lacked quality at times last season, he always gave 100%. Again only time will tell.

Forget the amounts .... the comparison is there for all to see. For the record ... What’s your issue with someone pumping millions into FGR?

Its an unsustainable club, a village club, hasn't got the catchment area, basically a rich mans toy that will go tits up as soon as he goes
