My only real point is that makes me smile (on other posts), when people get all huffy and puffy about what FGR are doing, we would love a similar scenario at RP, I know I would.
We had a similar scenario when in the conference, and imo we would have struggled to get out of it, if it wasn’t for LS money.
Re: ANY SIGNINGS THIS WEEK....?
17Absolutely.no comparison, fgr have had 2 million pumped into thier village club for the last few seasons, fuc knows how much this seasobJustanordinaryfan wrote:Always me smile .... we didn’t mind it when Lottery Les’ money got us up.daftasfxxx wrote:So they should the money the hippy's chucking at them
Re: ANY SIGNINGS THIS WEEK....?
19Of course there is a comparison. Both clubs had/have an advantage over other clubs in their league because rich owners made/make financial contributions.daftasfxxx wrote:Absolutely.no comparison, fgr have had 2 million pumped into thier village club for the last few seasons, fuc knows how much this seasobJustanordinaryfan wrote:Always me smile .... we didn’t mind it when Lottery Les’ money got us up.daftasfxxx wrote:So they should the money the hippy's chucking at them

20More like it county. Arguably our most needed position of need. Good age and league two experience. Should slot straight in.
Re: Looks like one at 5
21Tyler Cecil Hornby-Forbes, as Eliza might have said “ we’ve signed ourselves a bleeding haristocrat “

22If he scores, we'll just wave a white silken handkerchief and shout, "oh well done my Lord, good show Sir!" ...
Re: ANY SIGNINGS THIS WEEK....?
23I know there's apparently rumours about McCoulsky, but if not him I wouldn't mind us taking Jonny Smith on loan from Bristol City. Did well at Fylde last year, but I think there might be a couple of clubs in the league above looking.
Re: Looks like one at 5
24Really happy with the signings overall. It seems we aren’t being forced to panic buy.
Re: Looks like one at 5
27Where as I think the crofts signing is terrible and there’s question marks for me signing Matt who’s obviously in the slide, what I do respect is the gaffer is buying players in positions that if we were sat in a pub we would list these positions as needs.Exile 1976 wrote:Happy with this signing, looks like Flynny has done some good business

28I suppose with the Crofts signing it comes down to whether his legs are gone or not. Only time will tell.Bush wrote:Where as I think the crofts signing is terrible and there’s question marks for me signing Matt who’s obviously in the slide, what I do respect is the gaffer is buying players in positions that if we were sat in a pub we would list these positions as needs.Exile 1976 wrote:Happy with this signing, looks like Flynny has done some good business
Matt's statistics do suggest a slide recently but whenever I've seen him play against us he's been a handful. Plus Grimsby fans have said that although he lacked quality at times last season, he always gave 100%. Again only time will tell.
Re: ANY SIGNINGS THIS WEEK....?
29Forget the amounts .... the comparison is there for all to see. For the record ... What’s your issue with someone pumping millions into FGR?daftasfxxx wrote:Absolutely.no comparison, fgr have had 2 million pumped into thier village club for the last few seasons, fuc knows how much this seasobJustanordinaryfan wrote:Always me smile .... we didn’t mind it when Lottery Les’ money got us up.daftasfxxx wrote:So they should the money the hippy's chucking at them
Re: ANY SIGNINGS THIS WEEK....?
30Its an unsustainable club, a village club, hasn't got the catchment area, basically a rich mans toy that will go tits up as soon as he goes
