I stood next to him at a Southampton reserve team match in 2008 against Swansea, most notable for Roberto Martinez ambling around the place as the-then Swansea first team manager. He was mostly taking the rise out of Jamie Hatch who was playing right back, and somehow managed to get a whole season playing for Saints when they were relegated from the Championship that year and, after relegation and administration, in League One when starting the season on minus 10.

Was a fairly limited right sided full back and/or midfielder who was clearly not Championship material at the time in a ridiculously inexperienced side full of those kind of players, and never got back there. Only 30 now but basically a regular at L2 level and with the exception of one season at Orient, not a regular starter at L1 standard. No better than Pipe or Willmott tbh but has played longer at a slightly higher standard so probably costs more in wages, and being a former teammate of Gareth Bale, Theo Walcott, Adam Lallana and Premier League winner Nathan Dyer probably gets him into some decent bars.

He can play defensive midfield(ish) but was more of a wide right-sided midfielder/full back when younger. As he's been playing regularly for Exeter I doubt he's a stand-in wherever he's played.
But Forest Green do have a history of assembling a squad in July and deconstructing it in January.
