It's not a massive problem other than it highlights the commercial arm is massively under performing and we had to giveaway a space rather than leave it blank

Is it the commercial arm that is under performing or the lack of businesses interested in donating money?
If we were to go through all the sponsors,we would find that a large number are AFC supporters who do it to promote their business and donate to the club they love. The Dragons,Cardiff City and most others would be in a similar position. It is very difficult to get non sympathetic companies on board.

We do it expecting little return or recognition. That is not a criticism but at the level we play at , it's just the way it is. Very difficult to get guests to attend ( until we draw a Spurs etc !!), but as suggested we do it because we like to contribute to the club.

What a dire , defeatist read this has become:

Essentially the official line is that w have no chance of getting anyone to sponsor us who isn’t a club supporter or a non existent betting website .

You talk of market rates but we are ill equipped to know what market rates are.

Front of shirt for league 2 is £30k minimum surely

What I’m hearing here is we have given up commercially & hired a new COO with no demonstrable commercial sales experience who will lead a commercial manager with no demonstrable commercial sales experience .

The governance question to ask is “ who is telling our board we cannot attract sponsors ?”
