I don't normally bother watching friendlies but went tonight with my 2 step son's who are Wednesday fans mainly to have a look at how Mansfield are looking seeing as they are our first game.
Decent enough game for a friendly and Mansfield look a good side.
Their centre back Pearce was solid and rarely looked troubled and for me was MOM
Centre midfielder McDonald only small but was tidy on the ball and good passer bringing others into the game
Right back White who did go off injured not sure how badly looked good at the back and likes to get forward and linked well with right wing Hamilton who caused Wednesday problems all night, was quick and put some good crosses in
Only a friendly but they were good value for their 2 - 1 win and will be a real test for us first game up I reckon
Looking forward to seeing how we do

I can see Mansfield going up this season, wheels fell off when the manager left last time around but they were going well until then, and far better at the physical side than we were.

Physical tonight too but not dirty just strong
Mass brawl at the final whistle too even the subs were on
