Some top performances today. Day for the pen save, Amond for the way he took his goal and his general play and work rate. I think any from Franks, Demetriou or Butler as they were all excellent.
Butler just shading it for me.
Re: MOM Crewe
18I'm usually one of Day's biggest critics, but he was great today: Penalty save (2 pts saved), great reflexes to get the rebound too, few good saves, good catches, discreet time wasting....overall a top display.Threadbare wrote:Some top performances today. 22Almost impossible to pick.
Bennett, best game I've seen from him since his initial loan spell.

26Franks.
However Bennett was twice the player he was a week ago, Joe, Mickey, Harris, Butler and Crofts all good.
Thought the improvement in the defence may be due to having Pipe in the team shouting the odds. Seemed a bit quiet last week.

Re: MOM Crewe
27Franks for me. Can I be controversial and state I don't get the butler love in. Demetriou had to come forward to make some decent crosses but is sometimes exposed at centre back. He is a better left back and would not make the errors butler has made that has led to so many goals including one last week.
Re: MOM Crewe
30Close call between Franks, Demetriou, Butler closely followed by Bennett.
Gone for Demetriou shaded it by his fantastic cross for Amond's goal pin point accuracy.
