4RIP John - would often see him on Corporation Road walking. He would always chat and have a strong view on the game and stories from the old days.

5Yes sad news John was a home and away supporter for years and years always on time waiting for the coach ,I travelled to many a game with him midweek Dartford ,Worksop , Fleetwood within minutes of being on the coach out would come his bag of sweets offering them to everyone the drivers loved him, smashing guy John RIP.

6I loved his stories about the war in the desert, he was a devout Christian and would not attend matches on the 'Lords Day' including Wembley.
I can remember he caught the ball full in the face at Dagenham when County were warming up, I think he was knocked out for a few seconds but he seemed unfazed afterwards.
