Heard today John Davies has died (Think it's his surname) lovely man always on SC coaches sitting near front always a pleasure to talk to

RIP John - would often see him on Corporation Road walking. He would always chat and have a strong view on the game and stories from the old days.

Yes sad news John was a home and away supporter for years and years always on time waiting for the coach ,I travelled to many a game with him midweek Dartford ,Worksop , Fleetwood within minutes of being on the coach out would come his bag of sweets offering them to everyone the drivers loved him, smashing guy John RIP.

I loved his stories about the war in the desert, he was a devout Christian and would not attend matches on the 'Lords Day' including Wembley.
I can remember he caught the ball full in the face at Dagenham when County were warming up, I think he was knocked out for a few seconds but he seemed unfazed afterwards.
It was a pleasure to know him R.I.P John
