Anyone else think the start is down to Flynn's clever choice of friendlies?

I think that if he had played a series of games against higher level opposition he may have tired our players out and they would not have had the stamina to hold on to the points against Crewe, Grimsby and Port Vale........

No that's ludicrous. Using you argument they will have no stamina for the next sequence of matches.

But playing high profile opposition in friendlies can lead to a sense of over confidence (especially for supporters). Consider Mansfield.
We, however, were condemned by some who held up the Mansfield pre-season as the reason for their victory. Didn't last long did it?

... my point exactly!

Say what you want about the Pre -Season programme and our display at Mansfield but IMO we were under prepared and a yard off the pace for large parts of he opening game...That is what I and many were saying

I can only assume this is a tongue in cheek dig at the people jumping all over the Mansfield defeat as a sign of a poor pre-season?

Thankfully, Bradford City, who sacked their manager on Monday, have appointed an old boy that wasn't our Mike.
