Isn’t it nice not to be having threads about sacking the manager or waiting until game 10 or so.

4Anyone else think the start is down to Flynn's clever choice of friendlies?
I think that if he had played a series of games against higher level opposition he may have tired our players out and they would not have had the stamina to hold on to the points against Crewe, Grimsby and Port Vale........

5No that's ludicrous. Using you argument they will have no stamina for the next sequence of matches.IMB wrote:Anyone else think the start is down to Flynn's clever choice of friendlies?

Re: No sack the manager makes a nice change.
6But playing high profile opposition in friendlies can lead to a sense of over confidence (especially for supporters). Consider Mansfield.
We, however, were condemned by some who held up the Mansfield pre-season as the reason for their victory. Didn't last long did it?

8Say what you want about the Pre -Season programme and our display at Mansfield but IMO we were under prepared and a yard off the pace for large parts of he opening game...That is what I and many were saying

9I can only assume this is a tongue in cheek dig at the people jumping all over the Mansfield defeat as a sign of a poor pre-season?IMB wrote:Anyone else think the start is down to Flynn's clever choice of friendlies?

11But we might start getting "Is he going to this/that club" instead.Triangle wrote:Isn’t it nice not to be having threads about sacking the manager or waiting until game 10 or so.
Thankfully, Bradford City, who sacked their manager on Monday, have appointed an old boy that wasn't our Mike.

12Sorry I can't remember the last sack the manager post
Bit of a non thread tbh

13Agreed. I did wonder if Triangle, like some supporters of other teams, has been in a coma for twelve months and totally skipped last season.UPTHEPORT wrote:Sorry I can't remember the last sack the manager post
