Having been there last season I'd recommend pitching up at the club shop/ticket office if you don't already have your ticket, then wandering off to the Harvester or whatever it was on the downhill side of the ground near the dual carriageway to pass the time before walking back to the away end (which I assume you can access from the pub end, I was in the home section in April). There's a SportsDirect as part of the ground too, the car park side.
