The very existence of B Teams in a senior competition is a thin end of the wedge, and if fans turn up for this sort of insulting dross, the authorities will see it as tacit approval for allowing B Teams into the League at some point in the future. And no doubt if a Newport County or an Accrington Stanley go bust again to make room for them, so be it.

If boycotting the game means the club losing a few quid in the short-term, I’m afraid that’s a price worth paying for long-term survival.

Totally agree with K.E. Its a 'lose lose ' situation: if we play a strong team and lose there will be criticism of team selection and risk of further injury to key players; if we win 'so what?

Irrespective of peoples views on the merits of the competition, the reality is it will be going ahead. Therefore what team should we put out. Start with all those fit and eligible squad members who haven't had a lot of game time, and conversely rest those who have had a lot of game time?

It will be interesting to see if he plays Amond.

He looks like his confidence could do with a goal at the moment and the game time might do him good but they thrashed Argyle last time out in the competition and playing against Ampadu could make things worse for him.

It’s very difficult to get his confidence up by scoring goals, when most of the time he’s deeper, and spends more time defending, than our full backs?

Yes I will be going as well looking forward to it too Chelsea have a really good youth side and have won the FA youth cup for the last 3 or 4 seasons will be hard game for us no matter what side Flynn decides to field.

Very good point. He didn't score on Saturday but that tackle in our box probably saved us 2 points.

That must have been a report on last season's game, they are in the same group again but don't play until 30 Oct. Chelsea thumped Swindon 4-0 in their first game but two or three from that team have since gone out on loan.

I haven't got to see many games so far this season due to work commitments so I'll be going on the off-chance of Chelsea playing someone like Ampadu. He's worth the entrance fee alone...
