Salford City v Shrewsbury a certainty.
Re: Ball 29 Newport County
32I suppose the Saturday/Sunday split will be announced soon. With the suggested Rail disruption on the Saturday, I'm hoping for Sunday. Are they then 2 o'clock kick offs? Could it even be a televised game as they are one of the lowest ranked teams?
Re: Ball 29 Newport County
33Officially not a televised game, although no mention of any additional Sunday games at this point.

36so we'll all have to wait for the evening?.... or in other words..... evening' all.
I kill me.

Re: Ball 29 Newport County
38Bit annoyed it hasn't been shifted, currently in the process of flogging my ST seat for Saints v Watford to go to this instead, ideally would have done both. Same story with Tranmere/Liverpool away on the same weekend, Saints not being on tv much has been a right pain this season. Still, I'll be at either Forest Green or Crawley home at Xmas as Sky cram in matches all over the shop.

39One of our best central defenders in the early Newport AFC days,Towler went on to play for LMP.
I was at the 3-1 Harrow match. There was an incident in the clubhouse resulting in much damage.

42Yeah, there's literally 2½ miles between the two grounds too. Could have saved themselves a fortune on broadcast costs.Marky wrote:All the headlines this game has got and they choose Hampton V Oldham?
Re: Ball 29 Newport County
44Sunderland have the biggest following of the teams in the competition at this stage, they're away, Newcastle fans will want to see them lose, it's a ratings no brainer for BT Sport as far as FA Cup first round games go. See also Portsmouth (without the big following bit. ).DT1892 wrote:Of all the other ties, they went with Port Vale v Sunderland?
Re: Ball 29 Newport County
45At least Portsmouth have a non-league club. Think it's a shite choiceSJG99 wrote:Sunderland have the biggest following of the teams in the competition at this stage, they're away, Newcastle fans will want to see them lose, it's a ratings no brainer for BT Sport as far as FA Cup first round games go. Any chance S4C pick our game up, or do we have to be at home? I know it's nothing compared to BBC/BT, but it's money in the bank.
