It wouldn't take a great deal of money to alter the odds so this could quite easily be co-ordinated by a few dozen Wrexham supporters putting a few quid on at different times in a ploy to upset our preparation this week.

I honestly think he would be mad taking on a job like that at this stage. He always said he wanted to leave a lasting legacy at his home town club before moving on, even with what he has done so far he hasn't done that. Promotion with us to me would give him that. To even think about moving to a club at the bottom end of the division above with not a huge fanbase or a big budget is both a risk to his long term career and a kick in the teeth to us fans. Hopefully it's all rumours and he has no intention of moving on yet

Of course he could. The trick is the use of the word formal in the phrase “ we haven’t had any formal approach “ which probably means they’ve had an informal one, they’re just haggling over the compensation.

If he’s going , I’d prefer it if he f*cked off immediately, his mind won’t be on it and can hardly have a great effect on the players, why should they bother to listen? Not their boss anymore. Just hope we don’t lose the whole management team, need some continuity.

Hope we don't let him go on the cheap. We know his worth as a manager. Maybe that will be a stumbling block. Still can't believe they haven't gone for Darren Ferguson for free.

So you are alleging that Shrewsbury have offered him a job without contacting his present employers first? If true, then I am sure that the League will take a serious view of such an improper approach.
