Re: Pubs for away fans
17Seems a really odd choice to me. As posted above , next door to Bar Amber !
Re: Pubs for away fans
18Its ludicrous only takes one idiot to cause chaos, cant believe the police are allowing this ,late ko lots of beer very surprised indeed .

19Agree, in any case if I was a visitor I’d rather be in town , it’s better for food etcowlsabout wrote:Its ludicrous only takes one idiot to cause chaos, cant believe the police are allowing this ,late ko lots of beer very surprised indeed .
Re: Pubs for away fans
20Also when they leave the Neon they'll be walking along the route that many County fans take to games, including the Dodger. By announcing this any idiots who want to make trouble could just head straight for the Neon. Ludicrous.
Re: Pubs for away fans
21Leicester and Newport do not have any history so I do not anticipate any problems, plus the area will undoubtedly be well policed and I cannot imagine any genuine supporters that frequent bar amber will be intent on causing trouble.
Re: Pubs for away fans
22Hope you're right but I wasn't thinking of genuine supporters causing trouble but those who may be attracted by Premier League supporters.Alan G Bryant wrote:Leicester and Newport do not have any history so I do not anticipate any problems, plus the area will undoubtedly be well policed and I cannot imagine any genuine supporters that frequent bar amber will be intent on causing trouble.
Re: Pubs for away fans
23Why give the opportunity for trouble to occur, never used the neon before why now ?, alan most clubs are not known to be involved in football violence but we all know that there is a minority within there clubs that do , and you stated Leicester do not have history , i went to a Wembley to watch spurs in carling cup final against Leicester and there was crowd trouble that day .
Re: Pubs for away fans
24They could of sent them to the Maindee hotel ,a good karioke, beautiful women in there plus they do a good ploughmans lunch to boot !. What more could a man want?
Re: Pubs for away fans
25Saw Leicester at Man City last season, their fans were a nightmare.
But I imagine with their points system for tickets it will only be regular fans at our place. Just depends how many sherbets are sunk by our lot. Newport is a bit mental on occasions.

Re: Pubs for away fans
26Not having lived in the 'port for many a year, I had to ask where the Neon was. It's the bloody Odeon! Got some memories from there. Last I heard it was a snooker hall.
Speaking to people it seems that this is the right place to put them. All in a large place with 2 minute access to the ground. Sorted.

Re: Pubs for away fans
27Leicester fans in the Neon and Newport fans in the Ivy Bush? Sounds okay to me - anything that keeps hoi poloi away from the Murenger has to be good news!
Re: Pubs for away fans
28I have been to nearly all of Leicesters away games this season and saw no trouble at any of them. Last time any trouble was involved with Leicester fans as far as I know was an F A Cup tie at Millwall when all the local Millwall idiots came out because it was a premier league club coming to town. Hopefully tomorrow will pass off ok with no trouble.
