It's the FA Cup 4th round at the end of the day. Until last season, when was the last time we made it this far? I think it's only the 3rd of 4th time we've ever been in the 4th round in 107 years!

A quick browse of Amber in the Blood confirms we reached 4th round in the followings seasons:

48/49 - 5th round
50/51
56/57
58/59
63/64
78/79
17/18
18/19

Could that add fuel to the argument that a good cup run for lower league sides often has a negative affect on league form?

Two things we did reach the 4th round in 1979.

Secondly in well over 50 years of watching County our poor league form has usually had no effect, negative or otherwise, on our poor Cup form.

Cmon the Port and lets support the boys. Its the 4th round of the FA cup. We've had it easy so far with the 3rd round (Leicester who?) Middlesbrough away, now that is a challenge.
