35Apart from one top over by Joe and when they hit the bar I thought we were quite comfortable.
Re: GRANDSTAND: Exeter
38Good team performance today no real stand out player all put in a shift - held formation very well and looked comfortable for the majority of the game.

Agree with that. Front 3 were very fluid in their formation, with Amond often positioing himself just behind the front 2. None of them should be dropped especially at home. Probably need another striker therefore to provide cover for injury/suspension.
Re: GRANDSTAND: Exeter
40We simply looked solid today. Much better without Franks in the side, sorry. Poole just looks superb. So glad we have him back as he will be instrumental in our push for playoffs.
Re: GRANDSTAND: Exeter
41Matt was excellent, everything stuck to him and he laid off quite a few.
Bennett broke up so many attacks and kept the ball ticking over and the back three were barely troubled by a toothless Exeter attack.
Joe Day called into action just once, making a great save.
Exeter fans won the singing contest though. I thought they were the best fans we’ve had at Rodders this season and the Amber Army were quiet.

Re: GRANDSTAND: Exeter
43Unusually, Flynn made no substitutions. Did this help? We concede goals so often after taking players off late in a game and I think, upsetting the teams rhythm and concentration.
Re: GRANDSTAND: Exeter
44Probably because they're the first team to have brought any real numbers to RP this season apart from Leicester ??!!Exile 1976 wrote:Matt was excellent, everything stuck to him and he laid off quite a few.

Re: GRANDSTAND: Exeter
45Agree with this. Midfield more compact today. probably helped by Exeter bypassing the midfield more often that not.Exile 1976 wrote:Matt was excellent, everything stuck to him and he laid off quite a few.

Fortunately no league points awarded for winning the singing contest.
