Well done The Board on pricing yet again!!...

Postby newgroundrodney » February 7th, 2019, 10:53 pm

When some days ago I suggested a top price of £42, with an average of £24, that was calculated without the extra seating.
In erecting the extra seats, the board have managed to reduce the average price for standard tickets (non - specialised) taking the whole price range into account, by 28% .....
The average price across 30 price bands, is £17.27.....this is for MAN CITY for crying out loud!!

Very Very well done The Board....credit where it's due guys!

Spot on !!! Pricing is more than reasonable .

How much are people paying for 6 Nations Rugby tickets ?? And they'll be women in Cowboy Hats who haven't got the foggiest on what is going on on the pitch .

Well done the Board .

I do feel for season ticket/trust members however who can't get to Rodney Parade when there is no on-line option . That surely isn't right ?

Find it absolutely shocking to be honest. There’s hundreds of exiled season ticket holders/trust members who cannot get the time off last minute to pop down to RP before priority sales close on Saturday.

Surely there must be something the club can do? I went to Middlesborough away but couldn’t get a ticket for the replay because of the phone lines. To top it all off they won’t even give the option to buy online or open the phone lines.

What a joke this club is. Hardly giving a good name for themselves by discarding exiled fans. League two service my ***

I consider myself fortunate to know some people in Newport who'll queue on our behalf, given that 13 hours' notice to spend half a work day in a queue 2 days after a 250 mile midweek shuttle for the replay isn't exactly viable from where I am...

Once again the problem is the lack of a database in the ticket system to hold integrated details for ST holders or Trust Members. It's almost as if we told them the solution last year...

Fair play to the club for finally getting their act together by allowing exiled season ticket holders and trust members to secure their tickets...

Also well done to the club, I sent an e-mail this morning at 9:13am and received a reply answering my query at 11:01am.

I see the article has been updated to include the bit about phone sales for exiled fans. This is the very very least the club can do to ensure ST holders and trust members get their ‘guarenteed’ tickets. Seems like absolutely nothing has been learned from the last few cup runs.

It's probably the turn of the 'priority' local fans to complain now - 2 and 1/2 hours getting soaking wet in the rain.
Success hey - who needs it?
The dedicated platform work speced by one poster on another thread shows It's no quick fix and will require some further modules PLUS integration AND the OK from the WRU - it is their system- and upgrades to turnstile ticket m/c's etc.

Had our club done as they promised and put a 21st century ticketing system in place all season ticket holders and trust members and/or shareholders could have bought their tickets on line. In the following week the club could have sold tickets to those with ticket stubs to those who had attended the Middlesbrough game. Any tickets left over could have gone on general sale Thursday.

Because of the lack of a system the lucky priority people who live in Newport can queue up in the pissing down rain for three hours. And for the elderly, people living with disabilities and so on that's even more unpleasant.

Those not in Newport if they are lucky can spend hours trying to get through on the phone. Or they can spend a fortune to travel and join the soaking queue.

For those fans outside Newport who aren't this lucky can even though trust members go and f@ck themselves.

And finally as many people can buy three tickets some will sell on to touts.

This is our directors getting it right. God help us when they get it wrong.

It could be worse....

Worse things happen at sea

My Father would have loved to be around to be a part of all this as he was against Pompey.

But the reason we haven't got the ticket system promised is because of the (ongoing?) situation with the WRU over the summer isn't it?
