I see the article has been updated to include the bit about phone sales for exiled fans. This is the very very least the club can do to ensure ST holders and trust members get their ‘guarenteed’ tickets. Seems like absolutely nothing has been learned from the last few cup runs.
It's probably the turn of the 'priority' local fans to complain now - 2 and 1/2 hours getting soaking wet in the rain.
Success hey - who needs it?
The dedicated platform work speced by one poster on another thread shows It's no quick fix and will require some further modules PLUS integration AND the OK from the WRU - it is their system- and upgrades to turnstile ticket m/c's etc.
Had our club done as they promised and put a 21st century ticketing system in place all season ticket holders and trust members and/or shareholders could have bought their tickets on line. In the following week the club could have sold tickets to those with ticket stubs to those who had attended the Middlesbrough game. Any tickets left over could have gone on general sale Thursday.
Because of the lack of a system the lucky priority people who live in Newport can queue up in the pissing down rain for three hours. And for the elderly, people living with disabilities and so on that's even more unpleasant.
Those not in Newport if they are lucky can spend hours trying to get through on the phone. Or they can spend a fortune to travel and join the soaking queue.
For those fans outside Newport who aren't this lucky can even though trust members go and f@ck themselves.
And finally as many people can buy three tickets some will sell on to touts.
This is our directors getting it right. God help us when they get it wrong.
It could be worse....
Worse things happen at sea
My Father would have loved to be around to be a part of all this as he was against Pompey.
