Is there any improvement in the general service provision at night after evening KO's?
I came past Newport station on the National Express last night at 9:40 pm and the place looked deserted, and very unwelcoming. Looked like your City Centre was shut.

To answer your question, I regret to tell you that as soon as it gets dark , the service is pretty abysmal. For evening games I bus in, taxi out.
