Cheating Mansfield

Hand on heart, never have I seen such a more vile team play here.

All they did was cheat, bleat and apply the dark arts all game and Flitcroft has the nerve to moan about the referee - who was absolute awful.

I'm glad we got the penalty decision and their crap following were crying hard done by.

It was karma for their teams lack of class.

We were slow starting but outplayed them second half and that equaliser will have crushed them.

All to play for - glad they have written us off.

100% agreed. They did it in January and last season at ours. Their number 6 is a big lad but goes down like a hooker down the docks every time somebody is within a yard of him.

Horrible footballing side. Thugs, bullies and play acting and time wasting like like I've never seen before. Almost every clearance ball they were making a conscious effort to boot the ball out of the stadium to waste time.

Watching the highlights we had some great chances to win that game. We have nothing to fear up there.

Up the County!

They certainly went down very easily but were quick with a very "robust" challenge.
Lots of moaning, the importance of the game doesn't make for a beautiful game but they were constantly trying to con the officials in my opinion.

If we do the basics right on Sunday we will turn them over.

Flticroft and his brother played that way also, disgrace to the game with their play-acting and bad sportsmanship. He was bombed out of Swinetown and had a big budget at Mansfield this year and really should've got them promoted automatically with the quality loanees (Walker and Grant) he's had this season.

Think we played a bit dirty tonight also though, several sneaky pushes in the back from Josh and Micky, plus each time we competed for a ball in the air our player often led with an arm. I knew Labs would settle things down and he made a good impact.

Watching on Sky in Spain, Breakspear’s performance didn’t seem that bad. He could have easily have sent off OB, & although Azeez got a slight touch on the ball, it didn’t look like a penalty on TV. Mansfield of course fell over with the merest of touches like they always have. Did we expect anything else?

Their players were definitely up for it. All elbows, knees and niggle. I suppose that's what it takes to get out of this league so fair play to them.

They also had a bit of pace up top. If I was flynny I'd be telling our boys to wind up that number 19 on Sunday, he's a red card waiting to happen if you can get to him.

Nothing to fear though. We can compete with them and we have enough in our locker to score up there.

There was one incident second half.Their LB went down near the Hazel touchline.Jamma was at least a yard from him and didn't make a challenge.Jamma ran on and crossed but nothing came of it.Their LB was screaming at the Lino for not giving a free kick, talk about trying to con the officials.

Funny how perceptions can be so different in football. Now, we all know Danny Rose likes to go down easy, but we honestly don't see ourselves as that kind of team. We moan about teams like Wycombe, who have come to Field Mill and employed 'the dark arts', but I remember talking to one of their fans about it and he couldn't see why teams said that about them.

From our perspective, we thought Newport were extremely dirty and looked to rough up our players and prevent the game from flowing, which would have suited our style of play. With your pitch (which looked better, but was still very bobbly) this tactic is responsible for a reputation that I expect you probably don't feel is justified either. Just saying, perceptions and bias are funny things.

He tripped himself up and went down as if Jamma had broken his leg !
Disgusting side , and up there with Lincoln when it comes to getting away with murder .
They did close us down really well and didn't give us time to settle on the ball in all fairness , and looked dangerous everytime they went forward .
Thought they tired second half when we got ourselves going , and we've got nothing to fear up there on Sunday .
It really is a cup final now , and we have nothing to lose .
Go at them up there in the first 15 minutes , like they did to us , get an early goal , and it could still happen .

Then again .... you were pretty much on your own watching the game from the away seats !
Plenty of leg room there

To say we looked to "prevent the game from flowing" , when so many times the game was stopped cos one of yours went down like a strike breaking porn star , is pushing it a bit ?
And you didn't bring any inflatable sheep ??
Shame on you !!!

At least Rose waits to be challenged before he goes down. What on earth was your LB thinking with that dive.
