Then do it !, I'm watching the football.Countymax wrote:I completely agree with you and would rather stick pins in my eyes.Snowman wrote:Am I supposed to get excited about the women's world cup?
Judging by the BBC and the newspaper coverage, especially the Guardian, this is an event that is supposed to be the highlight of the summer but I couldn't care less about it.
Am I the odd one out here or am I just a sexist dinosaur?
Re: Womens World Cup
17I may have already mentioned before, but I have absolutely zero interest in international football, be it women's or men's. None whatsoever, regardless of how well or otherwise Wales (or England, cos I'm half English) perform or any level of success reached.
Re: Womens World Cup
19Not sure what the relevance is to be honest. I've supported them for about 40 yrs, but more seriously since about 1990...Special branch wrote:Ok so remind us of your QPR connection please.
Re: Womens World Cup
20Last night was a poor advert for women’s football. Korea probably the worst football team I have ever seen. France not much better - aren’t they supposed to be the best team in the world ? Good grief. Complete lack of physicality and skill in the sport makes it unwatchable for me.

27In fairness our players had to have a water break in the play off final after about 20mins of 20 degrees temperatures.

29In fairness there was thunder and lightning so the ref was right to take them off, I always did after a local ref had the misfortune not to do so and a player was struck by lightning.whoareya wrote:The Chile v Sweden game has been stopped due to adverse weather.

30No I didn’t but I read it wasn’t great. I did watch the highlights of USA women v Thailand women, which were comical.penycwm county wrote:Did you watch Hungary v Wales last night ?faerun exile wrote:Last night was a poor advert for women’s football.
