So after Mickey signs and this left wing back is announced, seems that Flynn is looking for a specialist LB, one more midfielder and an "attacking player" to complete the squad.
I wonder if these are likely to be permanent signings or loans?
Re: LWB signed from Bristol City
2Would have thought more likely to be loans, if we have 21 permanent players on contract (with Mickey?)rdh2210 wrote:https://www.southwalesargus.co.uk/sport ... youngster/

3A few Shrewsbury fans are assuming left wing-back Ryan Haynes is heading here.
Re: LWB signed from Bristol City
4I work in Bristol and speaking to a City ST holder he thinks it could be George Nurse who played for Weston Super Mare last season as LWB who's the most likely.
Although, the Bristol Post mentions Wollacott (Keeper), Rory Holden (Winger) and Lemonheigh-Evans (Centre-Forward).

Re: LWB signed from Bristol City
5George Nurse certainly looks like the most likely of those names, I did a Google last night and he's listed as a defender and midfielder in various places.
But then we've had strikers from them for the past couple of seasons (and a ball playing midfielder).

Understand that young #BristolCity defender George Nurse is close to tying up a loan deal to join Newport County. Will be yet another league loan for the Robins, when goes through

7The Argus have confirmed George nurse is currently with County in Spain so it all adds up!County Exile wrote:Tweeted by a Bristol Post sports journalist:-

8So if he's travelled to Spain, does that mean he is joining us, or just being looked at with a VIEW to joining us?rdh2210 wrote:The Argus have confirmed George nurse is currently with County in Spain so it all adds up!County Exile wrote:Tweeted by a Bristol Post sports journalist:-

9It seems like there’s a few other players out in Spain too. Nobody’s quite sure who they are.

12Plenty of defenders this season. Looking forward to seeing a 7-2-1 in action.

13Not a great surprise that we're trying to do some of the early triallist business with a little bit of secrecy given the investigative powers of this forum.
