Or did we once play two games over Saturday and Sunday away
I know few years back we played two games the same day one in Welsh cup
Re: Is it all in my mind
3Pretty sure we did this at the end of the 1990-91 season (our second season when we returned to Somerton Park).
Think we lost them both 2-1; maybe Bridgnorth and Kings Lynn?
I know I could probably Google it to verify but CBA.

4I can remember one team end of season having to play seven games in ten days to finish the season on time think they put out two sides the same day!

5I think Guernsey FC had to do something like that 3 or 4 years ago. They did well in the cups and ended up having to play a massive catch-up game at the end.UPTHEPORT wrote:I can remember one team end of season having to play seven games in ten days to finish the season on time think they put out two sides the same day!

It was Corby and Kings Lynn. We then played Bridgnorth away two days later.

9Seem to remember Frank Worthington playing against us for Hinckley as well that season; and he scored a hat-trick. I was only about 7 at the time, but can remember that season quite vividly.excessbee wrote:Mark Lawrenson played for Corby that day.
Best day was playing Nuneaton at home in the pouring rain, they were right up at the top and we were right in the mire. We smashed them 4-1 although you had a job to see anything through the rain!
