In all seriousness it’s great that we won and sounded like we had a real go at them in the second half. Great draw too and can only help the coffers!

I'm delighted that after wavering and checking the train times when in Winchester around 2pm I took Flynny's sage advice not to go, last train back for me was 21:57 and the pens ended about 10 minutes before that, with the station just under a mile away. Probably wouldn't have got back.

Sky Sports score app reported the second penalty as a goal for a little while.

Yes, indeed . I thought we weren’t coming back from that. Really happy with that result - and the draw!

iFollow also had it at 0-2 for a while. I just assumed that Tim's commentary was delayed as usual and for the next 5 minutes I was waiting for Gillingham to score their second.

Cheers. They didn't show the penalty in normal time they missed, but my God the two they scored were nothing more than falling over for shoulder to shoulder or shielding the ball. Our pen was a blatant shirt pull that even Kettle couldn't miss (though he also missed an obvious foul on Abrahams that also should have been a penalty seconds before).

Shootout saves by Townsend were superb, especially the last one. Bringing Mickey on for a pen was genius too.

Turned out alright in the end.
