Re: Mickey D
2On Radio Wales Flynn said it looked bad and potentially a broken leg bone. Scan being done today.
Re: Mickey D
3Pretty disgusted that there is absolutely no mention of of his injury or any well wishes in the official website report.
Re: Mickey D
4You're easily disgusted then. Report was up rapidly afterwards and they may not even have known it was serious at that point, splint-type immobilising devices are used as a cautionary measure fairly regularly. We probably won't know for a couple of days anyway, if the club announces it at all.lliswerryboy wrote:Pretty disgusted that there is absolutely no mention of of his injury or any well wishes in the official website report.
And who cares about public "well-wishes"? I'm sure Mickey doesn't, he's got personal relationships within the club where people can convey those to him.
Re: Mickey D
5Just watched the video highlights and there was no contact with one of their players he just seemed to land awkwardly when he slid to try and block a cross.
Re: Mickey D
6The response from the Plymouth fans behind the goal would be a good indicator ?
Fair play to them .... they gave a round of applause as Mickey D was stretchered off .
Didn't look good

Re: Mickey D
7It didn't look good,he had his hand over his face which is usually a bad sign.We have Lazar and Marvel on two year deals so I can't imagine MF will want more funds for a replacement.I hope I'm wrong but,it could be a long job.
Re: Mickey D
8It can depend on whether it was a clean break or something more complex. We'll know soon enough. Although he's likely to be missed at least County have greater depth at CB's than in previous seasons.
Re: Mickey D
11Bad news. But if it's a clean break it'll be great to have him back at Christmas.rdh2210 wrote:Broken fibula - 10 weeks out I heard.

Re: Mickey D
14That’s actually better than I first thought. The fibula is a non weight bearing bone so hopefully the recovery time will be much quicker. At first I was thinking maybe his ACL had gone
Re: Mickey D
15Talked to my wife about this. Her being a nurse before moving over to the dark side and becoming a solicitor.UPTHEPORT wrote:Hope that's true most cases take 4 monthsrdh2210 wrote:Broken fibula - 10 weeks out I heard.
Her view. The problem is that Micky is a professional athlete. Any injury is therefore likely to take longer to heal to the standard required to play 90 minutes of high paced football than it is walk down the street. This is offset to a degree by the inherent fitness levels of a young athlete.
She also said it's always a good idea to take a couple of weeks when you're fit to rest up. The amount of time lost by people risking coming back too early far exceeds that gained by an early comeback.
