According to the Argus, sponsorship rights to the Hazells Stand have been resold and so it'll be known henceforth as the Compeed Stand / Compeed Terrace.
Good luck with that. #ForeverTheHazells

2End of the day, call it what they like, it's the West Stand & West Terrace...Kairdiff Exile wrote:According to the Argus, sponsorship rights to the Hazells Stand have been resold and so it'll be known henceforth as the Compeed Stand / Compeed Terrace.

Re: The Compeed Stand (no really)
3I wonder whether County will be given any of the money paid within the deal, since quite a lot, if not most, of the brand name exposure will be to football fans.
What is the difference in the total number of rugby fans in a season, compared to football?....surely County warrant SOME of the money?

Re: The Compeed Stand (no really)
4The away stand is the Pure Vans stand for the football but not the rugby. I wouldn't worry about it too much
Re: The Compeed Stand (no really)
5Are they going to repaint the roof? There *were* a lot of Compeed ads around the dugout the other day...
Re: The Compeed Stand (no really)
6This may explain why there were some noticeable holes in the Hazel roofing last weekend.Kairdiff Exile wrote:According to the Argus, sponsorship rights to the Hazells Stand have been resold and so it'll be known henceforth as the Compeed Stand / Compeed Terrace.

7I guess they'll just stick a few compeeds over the holesreebok0165 wrote:This may explain why there were some noticeable holes in the Hazel roofing last weekend.Kairdiff Exile wrote:According to the Argus, sponsorship rights to the Hazells Stand have been resold and so it'll be known henceforth as the Compeed Stand / Compeed Terrace.

Re: The Compeed Stand (no really)
8I always wondered if Captain Morgan rum kept paying for the ad on the roof at Ninian Park. I can't remember if it was on the Canton stand or the Bob Bank.

9Now, a wag might come up with a couple of quips about sticking plasters and their use by underperforming sports sides.
Not me though...

10I bet they will be playing at a blistering pace on that side of the ground.

Being a County support I always wondered about who was paying for the Hancock's Bitter ad over the Cromwell terrace.

12I wondered about the Captain Morgan ad also as a County supporter.

13To be fair it was only there for 30 minutes.Stan A. Einstein wrote:George Street-Bridge wrote:I always wondered if Captain Morgan rum kept paying for the ad on the roof at Ninian Park. I can't remember if it was on the Canton stand or the Bob Bank.

Re: The Compeed Stand (no really)
14No it was there for years. Long after that particular brand of ale was no longer on general sale. As indeed was the painted sign on the grandstand 'South Wales Argus, best for all sport'. Not to mention the billboards at the railway end. Other fond memories were the rotting railway sleepers on the popular bank and the gates at the Cromwell end being thrown open half an hour before the game finished.Willthiswork wrote:To be fair it was only there for 30 minutes.Stan A.
