Because in the professional opinion of a management team who have guided us for a few years now Mahoney is a better choice. I know you love the young players but I think they are just not good enough and yes it would be great if they were but they are not.

He had a chance to shine against West Ham Kids and was woeful then another chance last Saturday and again rubbish.

I make that 7 consecutive rounds of the FA cup where Podge has now scored. Could be an all time cup record for a County player.

Not once have I said Mahoney is any good Frank but clearly in the eyes of our management team a better option than any of the younger players

Irrespective, of player choice, which is a management decision, we have kept ourselves an interest in the next round! Whilst I appreciate debate is part of the message board criteria, I feel the 59 or so County diehards who made the journey to Cleethorpes, have their right of say, and furthermore will respect their opinion first and foremost!

From what i've seen of him Mahooney isn't good enough.

Personally I thought Maloney played quite well in the first half v Salford last week. He tired and was correctly substituted in the second half but considering he's had virtually nil football since coming here that is expected.

But equally I wouldn't mind seeing Jefferies given a run out either...

Strange one for me today - Hanson and Green were a handful without looking dangerous, but just occupied our full defence ...... went a goal down and then in the second half they seemed to sit back and surrender their advantage..... not sure why but they did it and they got what they deserved.

I’d go for Innis for MOM but not with any certainty.

Looking forward to seeing more of Taylor Spamoni.

Probably because Tailliur O Maol Dhomhnaigh is too much of a mouthful. And if I knew how to type in the fada it would be even too complicated for Daftas.

Not much chance of any of our youth players developing if they never get the opportunity to play at a higher standard, play at the higher tempo, develop the techniques and learn the decision making that's needed to succeed. I'd say the lack of opportunities for youth players is probably Flynn's biggest weakness. We need to build a pathway to the first team for our developing players, cost of bringing through youth is usually offset in wage savings and the odd transfer.

Maybe youth is not Flynn’s weakness the weakness is academy recruitment not providing him with the quality required.
It appears that quality / suitability go out of the window for some they are young pick them - it doesn’t work they have to be good enough if they were they would be in the team.
