Brilliant news.
Much appreciate your updates tonight.
Is that another £10k in the coffers for us.
Have the kids and reserves showed the first squad and Flynny how we should play again.
Splendid.

Well done to the lads !!!
Not a competition that floats my boat at all , but sounds like we played some decent stuff against a Premier League outfit .

And before anyone says "but it was only Brighton U21's" , let's remember where Ben White came from and also remember how many kids we played tonight as well

Splendid.

Surely they’d be playing to Flynny’s tactics? Or does that only apply if we lose? Clean sheet too, perhaps there was method in Flynny’s madness playing Dolan at CB

Really enjoyable to watch (makes a change recently) and the youngsters all played well. Particularly impressed with Woodiwiss - very calm and assured for such a youngster.

Matty Dolan marshalled the defence well and put in a pretty good performance as a central defender.

Jamille Matt caused them problems and put in 2 or 3 decent through balls for Poleon which he should have made better of - probably the weakest of the County players on display tonight. When Abrahams came on he got into some great positions but too greedy and wasted efforts when other players were better placed to score.

All 5 penalties well taken.

Think that only applies to the group stages. This was a second round match so if what I read was correct it's twenty grand for tonight. If we can win a couple more it will stack up.

Each EFL club participating in the Leasing.com Trophy is given a participation fee of £20,000 - meaning clubs will pocket a five-figure sum before they have even kicked a ball.

Prize money of £10,000 is then available for each win obtained in the group stage, with £5,000 handed over to each club when a game is drawn.

The amount available to clubs then increases in the knockout stages, with the following sums dished out once the group stages are complete:

Round Two: £20,000

Round Three: £40,000

Quarter Final: £50,000

Runner-Up: £50,000

Winner: £100,000
If a match is televised it's £10k to each club
