His ego knows no bounds. The only place he is taking them is down

Could go either way. I remember him being in charge when we put in a tremendous performance at Notts County, we were well on our way. Next weekend...... blown away by Blackpool, diabolical performance and the start of seven or eight matches without a win.

He usually gets a couple of match bounce from the players being fitter, then overdoes it, knackers them out and they all begin to really hate football and stop trying, so give it a few weeks.

Starts off well then alienates the players by pushing them too far. Parkin / Tozer / Randall prime examples.
His signings kept us in the league, when managed correctly.

He'd probably make a great number 2 to someone if his ego would allow it. Credit for signing two outstanding defenders in O'Brien and Demetriou.

How bad must Cambridge be?

That's the point they aren't only 2 points behind us before yesterday.
