Re: A message for UPTHEPORT
1We should have plenty in the bank at the moment, surely? Supporters are paying for all the normal things plus trust donations on top, I don't see why we should then be paying for players as well!
Agreed, Stan was asking for this many moons ago.Exile 1976 wrote:A fund towards our own home would be better, we should have plenty in the bank for players

since last season we have acquired an extra 600 County fans per game based on the latest attendance figures. This must equate to close on an extra £200,000 more per season than we were taking, in tickets sales and bits n pieces. The Wolf wrote:If you want a successful football club/team you all need to do that little bit more.
Assuming of course those extra numbers continue for the rest of the season. Likely numbers will drop significantly for the second half of the season.newgroundrodney wrote:since last season we have acquired an extra 600 County fans per game based on the latest attendance figures. This season, after 13 games, the total number of County fans at home games is 47924....which is 7825 more than the same stage last season. That's 602 extra fans per game so far, which is 13846 more fans a season....at approx £14 each, that's £193k a season that we weren't getting. The Wolf wrote:I'm interested in how you have come to that figure?newgroundrodney wrote:since last season we have acquired an extra 600 County fans per game based on the latest attendance figures. Well impressed and really good news for our finances.newgroundrodney wrote:This season, after 13 games, the total number of County fans at home games is 47924....which is 7825 more than the same stage last season. Noteworthy, is that even through our poor period of form, our attendances aren't really dropping off markedly at all.
PS: starting with the Crawley game, during our poor run, the number of County fans at RP has only fallen 5.2% down on the average immediately prior to the start of our poor form......so it's not affecting the fans as much as many might think!

Put me down.
Massive aim but with business sponsors, collections every game.
Invested to the maximum interest ( appreciate that's not a lot currently).
Board chip in thanks for all the hospitality they receive albeit separate from what they do for their love of the County regardless.
Target for 10 years down the line.
Big ask and at present no guarantee we have RP in 10 years anyway.
Got to start somewhere, clearly nothing has happened yet.
I presume it means that they should pay pro rata in lieu of the hospitality they receive on match days towards the fund?whoareya wrote:Frank Nouble 3 wrote:Not interested but if you said start a fund for our own stadium with the proviso guaranteed not to be used anywhere else.

What is meant by Board chip in thanks for all the hospitality they receive ?
Couldn't agree more. But doing a little bit more doesn't translate into a bucket shaking exercise. The simplest way to 'do a bit more' is for those who still sreadfastly stick to the idea of contributing only the price of a matchday ticket, to join the trust. Just £60 a year for basic membership. The Wolf wrote:If you want a successful football club/team you all need to do that little bit more.
