2019/20 Cup Competition Receipts

1
With Flynny on record prior to the Millwall game as saying we have made £500k from cup competitions this season I was wondering how this was broken down.

EFL Cup: TV game v West Ham rumoured to be worth £100k. The BBC at the time confirmed that the other Round 2 televised game Lincoln v Everton was worth £100k in broadcast fees to each club so I guess we would be no different. Total: £100k.

FA Cup: £36k and £54k for winning Rounds 1 and 2. Plus TV monies £37.5k v Grimsby H and £75k M&T A. £50k overseas broadcast fee v Millwall. Total: £252.5k.

EFL Trophy: £20k participation, £10k beating Cheltenham, £20k beating Brighton, £40k beating MK. Total: £90k.

Gate receipts for above: £100k seems reasonable - includes sell-out v West Ham, 6k at Millwatt etc etc. Total: £100k.

So this gives an overall total of £540-550k.

Another £50k potentially available v Leicester City U21s in 1/4 final. £50k to win 1/2 final and a further £100k to win the final. Any game shown by Sky Sports is worth £20k to each team.

Plus associated gate receipts. Final v Portsmouth would certainly swell the coffers. Could be pushing £1M in the bank if we go the distance.

Was wondering what the figures were so far this season. Thanks for your estimate.
Even if we make no more for the rest of the season, unless our home gates fall away dramatically, shouldn't it be enough to at least break even this season?

As we tend to loose around £300k per annum.

My maths make that £700k profit if we go as far as possible here.

If that’s correct we will need to average 2,364 over the remaining 10 home league games. Home league average currently stands at 4,020.
Which is okay. Actually considering our slide in form is not too bad at all. Does though blow out of the water the 'poor little Newport punching above our weight' argument.

Da iawn lads. Another £70k in the bank. Guestimate of £625k ish made so far this season from the cup comps. £50k on offer v Salford and a share of the EFL Trophy final gate receipts if we get there. Would be lucrative for us if Portsmouth make the final.
