We overachieved massively last season....

The city of Newport has a population of over 150,000. The conurbation is over 300,000. It is bigger than Burnley, and Blackburn and many other towns who do so much better than us. Accrington has a population of fewer than one fifth that of Newport. Accrington are an example of over achieving.

Finishing 7th in Division 4 is not overachieving. It should feel like a very disappointing season. Until we start believing in ourselves and putting an end this poor little Newport crap, we will keep on being failures.
Great. None of that is relevant to the fact that I think the squad of players we had last season overachieved. We finished higher than we should have with the players we had.
They didn't overachieve in fact the opposite after a couple of years of great Cup results they should have pissed the play offs.
Same side this year not a patch in comparison including the management.
More I think of it loose Saturday and its time for a change.
It's virtually the same side as last season. Matt scored 20 goals. He's score more than 10 on two other occasions in his career. We snuck into the play-offs because of a phenomenal run at the end of the season that came completely out of the blue, with a goal 3 minutes from time. We overachieved.

Fair enough, you want a change. Who comes in then?

We have a commercial department?
This is really annoying. How many games have been sponsored by 'Club' organisations that would, normally, give that amount of money to the club anyway. We are not making anything from this type of sponsorship.

Last night was, arguably, the biggest home game of the season (unless we do get in the playoffs), and we can't even get a match ball sponsor. Why haven't the commercial dept put a speculative offer on this site or the Facebook page for a possible collective sponsorship deal? Or, even how about, a type of business raffle (like those house winning ones) where for £20 you get a chance to win a sponsorship for a game, you would also get a logo in the programme?

Time to realise without money coming in we can't get better players and progress.

Podge hasn't performed for weeks now, he has signed an extened contract, has he other things on his mind, replacing Flynn for example. Flynn has been poor in his signings, selections, substitutions, and tactics, time for him to go and we should look at Paul Tisdale a manager who has a good track record and not affraid to develop young.

Daft decisions I still think. The SD would still put the money into the club.

Nobody wanted it
Who did we ask or contact.
Live TV and a £4K gate.
Keep it in House.
Ridiculous
Not a conspiracy just totally useless waste of a big occasion.
Cop Out.

Tell it as it is no point sitting up in the clouds.
Think more and more are now getting a grasp at how bad things are.

Watched it on TV as not been well nothing major finally got to the docs for a checkup etc.

Anybody who watched last night and thinks we didn't dominate second half isn't being honest.

Just read MF's comments and agree it's a buildup of many factors. I'd love to see us turn this around. Everyone run their hearts out yesterday, we've got an unbelievable defensive unit which will always give us a chance.

It's always easy to focus on the negative but let's be fair if we take the lead in a game then confidence should just surge through the team.

If we can get that monkey off our backs then I maintain our fortunes will turn.

It's like a Toys 'r' Us inventory.

"Who fancies a game of Cop Out?"
"No, that's boring. How about playing Keep it in House?".
More entertaining.
