I recall reading that the pitch would have been due to be re-laid this summer. If we end up finishing the season in the summer it could be that there’s no time in the calendar to do anything before the next season starts. Let’s hope the few weeks now allows them to patch it up a bit!

Tranmere's chairman was on tv this morning. They have the same problem in that their pitch needs to be re-laid this summer. He said one solution could be for th EFL to allow them to play all of their opening fixtures away next season.

The WRU have belatedly decided to suspend all egg-chasing until the end of the month. Doesn't give time to replace the pitch, but it does give it a few very welcome weeks to recover from all the wear and tear following various storms.
