How about creating one season 2019-20-21 and deciding it over 92 games? Drop next year's Trophy to clear this season's backlog.

Just finish the season when safe to do so.

My view on the most likely of many possible scenarios.

Football will not recommence until January 2021. The FA Cup will be abandoned for this season. The Leagues will play out this season and the two major Cups will also be squeezed in to the period from January until May 2021. Football will then return to normal in August 2021.

That's a good scenario. Far enough ahead for the authorities not to have to keep setting fresh deadlines but then being unable to meet them.

As no-one has ever had this thing before, no-one has ever recovered from it and tried to resume a career as a professional athlete. Some are bound to get it, hope it doesn't shorten any careers.

Pretty much in line with what I thought in my initial message this thread. That certainty is good, though it's too early to say whether 30/4/2021 might still be too early. A usable vaccine might be close by then.

That should be the death knell for the Olympics this year too.

The thing is Clubs like ourselves have work planned during the summer break this isn't helping anyone

If they do go pas June 1st that goes into players family holidays as well

Just cut the bull and declare the season null and void and aim to start in August

August is likely too early to restart, though behind closed doors might be possible by then.

People won't be going on holidays in June, or July.

[Edit] If June (and maybe July) was thought a possibility, then GCSEs and A-levels would have likely been rescheduled rather than cancelled.

They will be going on holidays but maybe over here rather than abroad
