Very sad
Gary was one of the nicest people I had the pleasure to meet and I will miss him a lot
We always met at Victoria station and had a pint in Wetherspoons before and after the Wembley games and met Jeff at the Tranmere game as well

51Very sorry to read this. The poor bloke. He came across as a thoughtful, measured, helpful, friendly guy. I'm sorry I never got to meet him, or tell him how much I valued his contributions on here.

I've just been contacted by Gary's daughter and informed that our great friend Gary has passed away peacefully today at approx 9:00am, Tuesday 21st April. He had cancer of the liver which spread to his lungs. I traveled with Gary to the Wembley final against Tranmere last season and very often met him before matches at Rodney Parade. A great fellow was Gary. Deep sympathy to his grieving family. RIP Gary.
