2Yes that great day at Wembley is 7 years ago today. What a day it was.

4Just watched it again. I was there - AMAZING - I cried on the day and I am crying now. What a tonic to this situation we are in.

8Jolley's goal is my greatest moment in the 51 years of following both clubs.Interesting,if the defender hadn't got a flick then Christian would have been offside.Such a shame that injury so soon into the following August affectively finished his career but,he will always be in our hearts.
Re: Happy Justin Edinburgh Day!
9The defender was Dave Artell, now managing Crewe. The slip has been mentioned in our programme a couple of times!
I'd forgotten what a great game Alex Gilbey had.

Re: Happy Justin Edinburgh Day!
10Christian was onside, it did not matter if Artell touched the ball or not, because the rule is/was when the ball is kicked. When Sandell delicately passed that ball Jolly was behind the defender and his speed and anticipation put him in front when it was knocked on by Artell. So if Jolly was offside the assistant ref would have flagged before Artell touched it.Percy plunkett wrote:Jolley's goal is my greatest moment in the 51 years of following both clubs.Interesting,if the defender hadn't got a flick then Christian would have been offside.Such a shame that injury so soon into the following August affectively finished his career but,he will always be in our hearts.

11I’ll never tire of watching that video and remembering that I was there. Watched the last five minutes again three times, once this morning and twice again just now. Tim’s commentary is legendary.
