Re: League table prediction 2020/21
I don't know about the whole league but my guess is that County will be in the top half of the division. No evidence as to why, just a wet finger in the air prediction....

Bolton, Bradford, Cheltenham, Exeter, Salford, Walsall.
Barrow, Carlisle, Harrogate, Oldham, Macclesfield, Morecambe.
Well we can now scrub Macclesfield. I'll replace them as bottom six candidates with Southend. They too may go down the pan before the season ends.
Re: League table prediction 2020/21
I think a top six of Salford, Veggies, Exeter,Bolton, Bradford and Port Vale bottom six, Us, Morecambe, Colchester,Stevenage,Southend and Harrogate
Re: League table prediction 2020/21
I don’t see Morecambe ending up in the bottom six. They’ve made some reasonable signings over the summer.
Re: League table prediction 2020/21
I was just going on recent history. Last five seasons 21st,18th,22nd,18th,22nd. Their usual progression is a good start and then fall perilously close to the trap door.
Re: League table prediction 2020/21
I agree that, on recent form, Morecambe would be favourites for ending up near the bottom. However, they seem to be one of the clubs who’ve benefited from having had players on short-term contracts.
Re: League table prediction 2020/21
Here's my prediction -
1. Grimsby - made 7 strong signings, top manager.
2. Bolton - strengthened well.
3. Port Vale - 13 new signings, overdue a good season.
4. Carlisle - my dark horse bet, cracking signings.
5. Cheltenham - strong midfield, will do well.
6. FGR - 9 signings, have adjusted well to Lge2.
7. Tranmere - 2nd season success, may pinch a PO spot.
8. Bradford - Always up there.
9. Salford - Hate to say it but they compete well.
10. Walsall - 7 new signings should help.
11. Scun.thorpe - signed 3 strikers incl German player.
12. Mansfield - usually flatter to deceive in mid-table.
13. Exeter - tough year for them, not replaced departures.
14. COUNTY - key signings, need more technical 'nous'.
15. Cambridge - another yr in Lge2 beckons.
16. Oldham-loadsa signings but Kewell usually fails.
17. Southend-new manager, same struggles on/off pitch
18. Crawley - can't see them lighting up the league.
19. Barrow - not sure they've strengthens much for Lge2
20. Orient - sponsored by H.Kane, play like M.Caine.
21. Colchester - not replaced key players.
22. Harrogate-ground-sharing may unsettle them.
23. Morecambe-deserve relegation after repeated failure
24. Stevenage- Ditto.
County
League 14th
FA Cup - lose in 1st round, a non-league scalp.
League Cup - 3rd defeat to a Championship team.

Very impressed with Harrogate in the NL playoff final, they ran the legs off Notts County. Can see them doing well.

I stand by my prediction wright or wrong, but the way things are going County will be outside the play off places again due to blind faith in one man and the BOD

The cup run results we have had over the last couple of years have put money in the bank which no doubt has helped us during these`s difficult time`s, but he (MF) has shown a lack of leadership in his tactics in our league games, we find our current league position we are in, not a true reflection of his ability due to so many freak results that have happened this season in Lge 2.
I for one believe MF has reached his ability as a manager.
Re: League table prediction 2020/21
So we're only in the top 5 due to freak results elsewhere? We haven't been on the end of any freak results, no? It's almost like we're only top 5 because other teams, as well as ourselves, have gone through a sticky patch. Who'd have thunk it.
As it stands, only 5 sides have won more games than us, and only 3 sides have lost fewer games than us.
