Agreed. has already been mentioned by another poster, but can't understand why they couldn't have been offered the Dragons facility at Ystrad Mynach, whilst games are behind closed doors. Afterall it's an artificial pitch like their own.

If the Dragons train on there day to day then why dont they move their games there too whilst they have to play behind closed doors as they will be used to the surroundings etc and surely that would give them an advantage too ???

Suspect they believe that the RP pitch suits them better, especially when it is cut up and wet.

Not only that, there are at least two rugby grounds that I'm aware of within the Cardiff Blues' own "region" – Pontypridd and Merthyr – with artificial pitches. Granted they're not top class stadiums (though they can't be that far off the Arms Park), but it doesn't really matter if it's behind closed doors, surely.

I guess part of the problem might be the need for facilities surrounding the pitch which might not be in place at some of those grounds. (not that I expect the Rodney Parade facilities like changing rooms etc are particularly luxurious)

You're allowed to travel to work if you're unable to work from home so it wouldn't be an issue.
No issue for players no, but presumably if the lockdown is still in place when spectators are allowed back into grounds, it would prevent those from a lockdown area travelling to Newport or Cardiff.
