Re: FA Cup R2
3Since we can't sell tickets it is no good wishing for the most attractive draw. In any case there are no really big clubs at this stage. Obviously, to make money from the cup this season we need to stay in the competition for as many rounds as possible. Not really interested in a televised match at this stage, not enough money yet. So a non league or weak L2 team at home and avoid any L1 team, especially away.
Re: FA Cup R2
4On the basis that we need to get to the third round and if possible get a televised game in round 2, I'd say avoid all EFL clubs and get a non league team away from home. Brackley or Marine perhaps. For the Salford based BBC, maybe they'll add Chorley to their love-in list, but that might be a tricky tie. On the bits shown today, they were too good for Wigan.
Re: FA Cup R2
7After Marine beating Colchester, surely any EFL side drawing them would find themselves on TV.
Re: FA Cup R2
8One of the lower ranked teams at home please. Stockport, Chorley or Marine perhaps. The priority must be getting to the third round and get a biggy.
Re: FA Cup R2
9Have we ever been ball number 1 in a cup draw before? Are we ball number 1 because we were the 1st tie out of the hat in the 1st round?
Re: FA Cup R2
10Yes we were the 1st tie drawn out so the winner takes that number in the next drawBlackandamber wrote:Have we ever been ball number 1 in a cup draw before? Are we ball number 1 because we were the 1st tie out of the hat in the 1st round?
Re: FA Cup R2
11I am surprised to see Wimbledon still listed in the draw
I was under the impression that this year if you postpone a game due to Covid then the opponents get a walk over .
This is what happened to Notts County in the 4th qualifying round. Kings Lynn received a walk over to the 1st round
